All About Sarah

Sarah Slate is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) who believes that healing begins by slowing down, getting curious, and reconnecting with the parts of ourselves that have been hidden beneath painful experiences and protective patterns. She understands that the way we relate to ourselves and others is shaped by our earliest relationships, and that meaningful change happens not just through insight, but through new emotional experiences that help us feel more grounded, connected, and secure.

Sarah specializes in trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, emotional regulation, relationship challenges, neurodivergence, addiction, and supporting adults through life's many transitions. She is especially passionate about working with highly sensitive people, creative individuals, and those who have grown up in emotionally difficult environments. Whether you're navigating overwhelming emotions, feeling disconnected from yourself, struggling in relationships, or carrying patterns that no longer serve you, Sarah offers a warm and collaborative space to better understand your experiences and move toward lasting change.

Grounded in Attachment Theory and integrating EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), somatic practices, mindfulness, and Nonviolent Communication (NVC), Sarah creates therapy that is experiential, relational, and deeply compassionate. Rather than focusing on what's "wrong," she helps clients reconnect with their natural capacity for healing, strengthen emotional resilience, and build more authentic relationships with themselves and the people they care about.
