Tiffany Spilove, LMFT
Do you hate your body and feel shame when you eat? Do you dread the mirror, yet feel obsessed with it at the same time? Together, we can untangle your relationship with food and body. I can help you find peace so that you can call a truce with your body. Are your trauma memories taking you hostage? Do you want to stop allowing the bad things that happened to continue to ruin your life? I know how to help you pull out the inner demons using art, EMDR and dialogue so that you can bring them to light.
My name is Tiffany Spilove, I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I am trained in healing eating disorders and PTSD using EMDR, art and Gestalt Therapy. I love working with all sorts of people, especially the LGBTQ community. I am also trained in a few different ways to resolve PTSD and eating disorders including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Narrative and Solution Focused Therapy, etc. I’ve found that my clients like the efficiency and potency of EMDR because it works fast and effectively to resolve their trauma.
What's It Like to Work With Me?
I make sure to take the time to listen to you so that I understand exactly what you want in your life. I will check in with you often throughout our time together to make sure that I am guiding you towards goals that YOU really want to accomplish. I use creativity and humor to make very intense and sometimes dark situations more tolerate. If you are ready to start moving swiftly towards your goals and if you are ready for real healing, give me a call. We will spend 15 minutes on the phone and I will let you know if and how I can help.
I have specialized experience helping people through bulimia, anorexia, binge eating and over-exercising. I help people who have gone through sexual abuse, physical trauma and emotional pain. I use art, EMDR and dialogue so that you can resolve your past to live more fully in the present.
I especially love working with teens and young adults and people who identify on the LGBTQ spectrum. I am certified in Holistic Nutrition Education. I can also help with all the other things you may experience: relationship conflict, career choice, anxiety, compulsive thoughts and more. If you're ready to start feeling better, reach out to me here to schedule your free 15 minute phone consultation.
As a dietitian specializing in eating disorders, collaborating with good clinicians to provide quality patient care is critical. Tiffany not only cares deeply for her clients but has a clinical approach that includes specific therapeutic philosophies for the treatment of eating disorders and comorbid mental health conditions. I trust and value Tiffany’s work implicitly.
