HOW DO I FIND THE RIGHT THERAPIST TO HELP ME?
Therapy should be about getting underneath the symptoms and into the root of the problem. A therapist should be able to really see and understand their clients and to go deep quickly. Rather than give advice, a therapist should be an excellent listener and have the ability to be a mirror to show their client exactly where they are so that they can choose the steps they’d like to take next. While it isn’t always easy to resolve an eating disorder or PTSD, it doesn’t have to take forever or be about going through every event in your life.
My name is Tiffany Spilove, I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I am trained in healing eating disorders and PTSD using EMDR, art and Gestalt Therapy. I love working with all sorts of people, especially the LGBTQ community. I am also trained in a few different ways to resolve PTSD and eating disorders including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Narrative and Solution Focused Therapy, etc. I’ve found that my clients like the efficiency and potency of EMDR because it works fast and effectively to resolve their trauma.
I have specialized expertise and experience helping people through bulimia, anorexia, binge eating, over-exercising, PTSD and more. I am certified in Holistic Nutrition Education. I can also help with other things you may experience: relationship conflict, career choice, anxiety, compulsive thoughts and more.

I use creativity and humor to make very intense and sometimes dark situations more tolerate.
